Every Peep has a gallery โ the images and videos that have been generated for it. Here's how it works.
Public vs private media
When media is generated, it's classified as public (SFW) or private (NSFW). Importantly, this is judged from the image that's actually produced, not necessarily what you asked for โ see Privacy & Safety. Your private media stays yours.
What's visible
A Peep's gallery shows its most recent public media. How many you can see is set by your subscription tier, with separate limits for SFW and NSFW media (per Peep):
| Tier | SFW media | NSFW media |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | 20 | 5 |
| Chat | 30 | 7 |
| Pal | 40 | 15 |
| Pro | 60 | 25 |
Media beyond these recent limits stays locked โ it exists, but isn't shown until the gallery is unlocked.
Curated galleries
A Peep's creator can mark its gallery as curated. When a gallery is curated, by default it shows only the media the creator has approved โ a hand-picked selection instead of everything recent. You can tell a gallery is curated by the blue check.
It's only a default, though: you can always switch the curated filter off to browse the Peep's media normally.
Unlocking a gallery
You can unlock a Peep's gallery to reveal its locked public media. It's a one-time purchase per Peep โ once you've unlocked it, it stays unlocked for you.
The price depends on how much media is locked and how popular the Peep is (Peeps that are widely saved or featured cost a little more), with a small minimum. As always, the exact cost is shown before you confirm โ and if there's nothing locked to reveal, there's nothing to buy.
