๐Ÿ—‚๏ธPublic, Private, Edit & Clone

Visibility, editing, cloning, and how many Peeps you can keep.

Once you've made a Peep you can change it, copy it, control who sees it, and decide whether to keep it.

Public vs Private

  • Public Peeps appear in the Peeps Hub and can be discovered and chatted with by other users.
  • Private (Hidden) Peeps are only visible to you.

How many private Peeps you can keep depends on your plan:

๐Ÿ“Œ Note
For public Peeps, only the Reference Model (the main profile image) has to be SFW. Private Peeps can use an NSFW Reference Model. Either way, your private chats are always your own.

Sharing a private Peep

You can share a private Peep without making it fully public. If you share its link โ€” or share one of its images, which links back to the profile โ€” anyone with that link can access the Peep.

This is by design: maybe you want to share a Peep with a friend, but not put it in front of the whole community. Sharing gives access to the people you choose; it doesn't list the Peep in the public Hub.

The creator's powers

The creator of a Peep always has special control over it: they can edit it, change its visibility (public/private), change its Reference Model, and more. Other users can chat with a public Peep, but they can't change it.

Editing a Peep

You can edit a Peep's appearance, personality, bio, and scenario โ€” but only for Peeps you created. Editing costs 5 PeepCoins.

Want to change someone else's Peep? You can't edit it directly โ€” clone it first, and then you can edit your copy freely.

Cloning a Peep

Clone a Peep (yours or a public one) for 10 PeepCoins to get your own editable copy.

  • Cloning copies the whole profile โ€” bio, scenario, personality, appearance โ€” and the Reference Model image.
  • It does not copy the Peep's gallery; only that single Reference Model image comes across.
  • Once cloned, you act as the creator of the copy: edit it, change its Reference Model, and so on.
  • Clones are private by default and can't be made public โ€” but you can still share them (see above).

Creating a Peep from an image

You can also build a Peep from an image you've generated on the site. See Create a Peep from an Image.

If you publish public Peeps, you get a creator bonus of 5 extra slots.

โ— Important
Saving a Peep is tied to saving its chat. A Peep that nobody has saved can be permanently deleted once its temporary chat is pushed out. This is the single most important thing to understand โ€” see Chat Slots.
