From sign-up to your first conversation in a couple of minutes.

You can be chatting within a couple of minutes. Here's the fastest path from sign-up to your first conversation.

Do I need to sign up?

You can browse the Peeps Hub freely without an account — look around as much as you like. You can even start chatting a little, but without signing up it's just a taste: only a few messages, on a lighter (inferior) model, and you can't do any of the real actions — no image generation, no voice, no saving.

❗ Important
Signing up is free and unlocks a proper trial — including our state-of-the-art chatting model, the very same one premium users get. We want everyone to experience AI Peeps at its best. The only real difference between free and premium is how much you can use it (free use is metered by PeepCoins and a daily message allowance).

And signing up is rewarded: new accounts start with 50 PeepCoins.

1. Find or create a Peep

Two ways to begin:

  • Find a Peep — browse the Peeps Hub and open any public character. Great if you just want to dive in.
  • Create your own Peep — design a character from scratch. It's the heart of the platform. See Creating a Peep.
💡 Tip
First time? Chat with an existing Peep to get a feel for it, then create your own once you know what you like.

2. Start chatting

How a chat begins depends on which path you took:

  • If you created a Peep, the chat opens automatically right after creation — just start typing.
  • If you picked a Peep from the Hub, open their profile and tap Chat to begin.

Each text message costs 2 PeepCoins on the free plan (subscribers chat without spending coins on text — see Free vs Premium).

Your new chat is automatically kept in a temporary slot. This is important to understand early, because it affects whether your Peep sticks around:

New chats are auto-saved to a temporary slot, but temporary chats can be pushed out later. To keep a chat — and the Peep in it — save the chat. Read Chat Slots so you don't lose a Peep you love.
